Match Report - 11 May 2016, Holtwhites Bowls Club Vets (3 Triples) lost to Bishopswood
Not the best start to the Vets season a miserable afternoon, matched by the result! Rods rink squandered a 9-2 lead after 8 ends, picking up 2 singles in the last 10 ends. Bishopswood moving to a full length jack was the undoing. Dave Norton 1 down after 9 ends, dropped 15 shots in the next 5 ends to effectively kill the contest on his rink. Andy Hatvani's lost a keenly contested rink by 1 shot, needing a 3 on the last end to half the rink, had to settle for a 2.
Thanks to Tony Edwards filling in at the last moment and to a promising debut from John Churcher.
