This Policy was developed and promoted by The Bowls Development Alliance. Its aim is to outline the duty and responsibility of all Club members to help ensure the safety and protection of all adults at risk.

We are committed to creating a safe and positive environment for all people involved in the sport. We have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all our members and to safeguard adults who are experiencing, or at risk of abuse, neglect or exploitation.

All members, regardless of age, ability or disability, gender, race, religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, marital or transgender status have the right to be protected from harm, abuse and poor practice and to play bowls in an enjoyable and safe environment.

We have appointed Steve Palmer  as the  Safeguarding Officer who is the first point of contact to report any concerns.

All Club members have a role and responsibility to help ensure the safety and welfare of adults and to report any safeguarding concerns, whether these concerns arise within bowls or outside.

All suspicions and allegations of abuse and poor practice will be taken seriously by the Club and responded to swiftly and appropriately.
