HOLTWHITES BOWLS CLUB - NEWS
On a mild sunny Bank Holiday Monday afternoon 20 took part in the clubs 2nd drive of the season, playing 16 ends, comprising 3 'sets' of drawn rotations.
Once again affairs on the green were played in the usual in the usual freindly and competitive nature, especially with the incentive of an award for the winner and the wooden spoonist!
Well done to the winner John Sanders with a net score of 12, just holding off a late challenge by Teresa Sinclair on +11, and Pam Alcock with +10 (who would have won had the rink that she was on not dropped a 4 on the last end!). Rod Smith ended with a net score of 9, unfortunately for him it was a minus number! and therefore was honoured with the wooden spoon.
