HOLTWHITES BOWLS CLUB - NEWS
A great effort by our ladies triples representing Middlesex in the National Finals. In the first round played on Monday morning they were drawn against Devon 'C', the match was very closely contested with our triple eventually winning 16-15.
After short break for lunch they returned to the green in the afternoon for a second round match against Surrey 'A', unfortunately Surrey were just a little too strong running out winners by 17 shots to 10. This was still a fantastic effort and no disgrace in the result as their opponents continued on their winning ways and were crowned National Champions, defeating Northamptonshire in the final this afternoon by 16 shots to 10.
Well done to the trio, Holtwhites and Middlesex are extremely proud of your efforts.
Sue, Maureen and Sarah also want to say a great big thank you to all the 'fans' that went to Leamington on Monday, their support was greatly appreciated.
